Our Initiatives

Campaign Objective:

Our primary goal is to end institutional racism within the Metropolitan Police. This campaign advocates for systemic reforms, stronger oversight, transparent data practices, and cultural shifts within law enforcement to tackle racial inequalities at every level.

Education

Objective: To educate the public about the extent of institutional racism in policing and its impact on communities of colour.

Action Steps:

  • Collaborative Educational Workshops & Webinars:
We will partner with organisations such as StopWatch, Liberty, and INQUEST to host online events, featuring experts, activists, and community leaders. These sessions will focus on the historical context of policing in the UK, the role of systemic racism, and the urgent need for reform.

  • Goals:

    • Raise awareness among young people, activists, and the general public about the structural inequalities in policing.

    • Empower participants with the knowledge to advocate for justice within their communities.

Policy Reform Advocacy

Objective: To advocate for legislative changes that directly address institutional racism within policing.

Action Steps:

  • Lobby MPs and the Home Office:
Engage directly with lawmakers to mandate the use of race-disaggregated data on practices like stop-and-search, use of force, and arrests. Push for greater independent oversight and the formation of civilian review boards to hold police accountable.

  • Online Petition for Racial Disparity Reports:
Launch a petition calling for mandatory annual reports on racial disparities within policing, with public access. Demand the creation of independent investigative bodies to review cases of racial discrimination.

    • Goal: Collect 100,000 signatures within six months.

    • Partners: Collaborate with groups such as The Runnymede Trust and Liberty to mobilise support and develop lobbying documents
